About Our Nursery

Our Nursery School is based in the same building as Skipton Children's Centre.
We are unique in that we offer:

  • Childcare provision in Skipton and the area including holiday care, long opening hours (8am-5:30pm), and tailored provision to suit your needs
  • 15 hours Free Funded entitlement to 2 year olds who meet  a specific criteria set out by the Local Authority
  • 15 hours Free Funded entitlement to children from the term after their 3rd birthday
  • Provision outside children's free 15-hour entitlement through Breakfast Club, Lunch Club, Activity Club and Tea Club
  • One of the most spacious outdoor play areas for 3-4 year-olds plus an outdoor all-season play area for 2-3 year olds and a secure terrace balcony for babies
  • Access to learning in Wilderness with our qualified Forest School Leader
  • Fully Qualified Inclusion Team for children with SEND 
  • Liaison with all schools in the area - Local schools our children have transfered to in the past 3 years include, Parish Church School, Christchurch Primary School, Waterstreet Primary School, St Stephens, Embsay, Lothersdale, Carleton, Connonley, Boyle and Petyt, Thornton in Craven, Bradley. Sutton C of E and Sutton County Primary and Cracoe,
  • Our staff are fully qualified including  Early Years Teachers, and Nursery Practitioners - we exceed the statutory requirements for staff qualifications. Many staff are studying for Foundation Degrees and Top up degrees.
